About AP Scholr
AP Scholr is a free Advanced Placement exam preparation platform used by 4,000+ students. It exists because good AP prep was priced out of reach for the people who needed it most.
The short version
- Free AP prep, every course
- Notes, flashcards, unlimited practice, rubric-graded free response, an AI tutor and a full practice exam.
- 4,000+ students
- Using it now, at no cost, with no card on file.
- Built by a student
- Aarush Herle started it in high school and still builds it.
- Independent
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by the College Board.
1What we are trying to do#
Rigorous AP preparation has historically cost money: review books, question banks, tutoring, courses. Students who could pay arrived at the exam prepared, and students who could not arrived at the same exam anyway.
AP Scholr closes that gap by making the whole thing free. Every AP course ships with unit notes, flashcards, unlimited multiple-choice and free-response practice, rubric-based grading, an AI tutor scoped to the topic you are stuck on, and a full-length practice exam scored against the AP curve. There is no paywall, no trial, no premium tier and no credit card.
2Where it stands today#
Content is built from the College Board course and exam description for each course, so a Unit 4 practice set is Unit 4 material rather than a course-wide average, and each practice exam mirrors the real section count, question count and timing for that subject.
3Working with schools#
AP Scholr is free for classroom use with no licence, seat count or purchase order. Teachers can point a whole class at it without an approval process. Details for departments are on the teachers page.
4Who builds it#
Founder
Aarush Herle
Aarush started AP Scholr as a high-school student after watching classmates skip AP prep because a course cost more than their family could spend. He builds the product and runs the school partnerships. Around 4,000+ students use it now, and it stays free.
5Independence from the College Board#
AP Scholr is independent. AP® and Advanced Placement® are trademarks registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with AP Scholr, has not reviewed it and does not endorse it.
AP Scholr, spelled without the second "a", is also not the College Board’s AP Scholar awards, which are academic distinctions given to students who earn qualifying scores across multiple AP exams.
